Sarah has lived in Nashville all her life. She moved to the Hermitage area in 1983 and joined Emmanuel shortly thereafter. She has three sons and 6 grandchildren.
Sarah has served in various ministry areas at Emmanuel. You can find her many Sundays in the control room running the screens. She currently serves as Chairperson on the Board of Directors and is liaison for Christian Education team and the Communications team. Sarah also plays in the Handbell Choir and serves on the Altar Guild.

Trish Braunschweig

Liaison to the Missions team and the Fellowship team
Trish was born and raised in Texas. She came to Nashville to be close to her sister that had moved here.
She graduated from the Cannon Financial Institute's Trust School and has worked in personal trust administration for 30 years.
Trish has three sons and one daughter-in-law. When her boys were young, she was very involved in children's ministries at Emmanuel. She is now in the hand bell choir, and involved in ladies guild, altar guild, missions and fellowship.

Tina Dorow

Liaison for Evangelism and Spiritual Growth
Tina was born and raised in Ohio but has been in Nashville for 34 years. When Tina moved to Hermitage several years ago, she was looking for a new church and Neil suggested they try Emmanuel. Tina said, “When I walked in the door – I knew I was home and it has been my family since!”
Tina graduated from Akron University with a major in music (alto sax) and a minor in psychology. She has been in sales her entire life, currently working at Neopost, USA, where she helps customers communicate in the most effective manner.
Tina has three wonderful children and four grandchildren. During her time on the Board of Directors Tina has served as liaison for the ELC Learning Center and Christian Education and is currently the liaison for Evangelism and Spiritual Growth. Tina has led several small group book studies, plays in the handbell choir and serves on the altar guild.

Melissa Edwards

Liaison to Properties Team
Melissa moved to the Nashville area in 2013 and transferred her membership to Emmanuel Lutheran from her previous church in St. Joseph, MO where she had been a member for 15 years. She raised her two children in the LCMS church, having them go through preschool, kindergarten and grade school at the Lutheran school at her previous congregation. She’s previously been active in teaching children’s Sunday school and serving on the youth board. Melissa is an electrical engineer and puts her skills to use on the Emmanuel properties committee. In addition to serving on the board, she serves on the altar guild and finance committee. She also plays in the bell choir at Emmanuel.

David Cox
Assistant Head Elder
David was born in Gallatin, TN and has lived in AL and KY. David was employed for 36 years with R R Donnelly. He acquired his CDL license after his retirement from Donnelly. He is married to Debbie and has a mixed family including his daughter, son, their spouses, his grandson and Debbie’s son.
David is a motorcycle enthusiast and enjoys riding whenever possible. He also enjoys following college football (Roll Tide) and basketball (Go Big Blue!) and the Dallas Cowboys.
David was a member at Trinity Lutheran in Gallatin since 1986 but transferred his membership to Emmanuel in 2013 when he married Debbie and moved to Mt. Juliet.

Austin Featherstone
Elder, liaison to Youth
Austin is a native of Denton, TX. He has attended Emmanuel since moving to Nashville in 2013 to pursue a graduate degree with Vanderbilt University. Austin leads the weekly Men’s Bible study and serves as Youth Counselor. He also assists each year with VBS, the Properties Committee and Missions team, contributes as a teacher for youth Sunday school and can be seen most Sundays singing in the praise band or playing the viola. Austin's wife, Carrie, is also in the Praise Band and active at Emmanuel.

Mark Gudlin
Head Elder
Mark is a native of Milwaukee, WI, but has been a Tennessean since 1981 when he attended the University of Tennessee-Knoxville for his graduate degree. He works for the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency as a wildlife biologist and is an avid outdoorsman.
Mark and his wife, Denise have been married since 1991 and have 3 grown children – Josh, Nikki (and her husband Zach), and Matthew.
He has been a lifelong Lutheran, and a member of Emmanuel since about 2006. Mark has served as an Elder for most of his time at Emmanuel. He also serves as a member of the Gideons International. Mark says that his tenure as both an Elder and a Gideon have truly been a blessing in strengthening his faith walk.
